The Singapore Airshow 2018 is Asia’s largest and one of the most important aerospace and defence exhibitions in the world. Some 1,062 companies from 50 countries & regions will be showcasing their latest products and innovations to close to 50,000 trade visitors from 150 countries and regions who are expected to attend this year’s event. iDirect® is the world leader in IP-based satellite communications and is a subsidiary of VT Systems which is wholly owned by ST Engineering.
FTS(Feitian) will be showcasing its latest product – the Cabin Wide Satcom Unit (CWSU) which is the next generation MODMAN (Modem Manager) integrating iDirect®’s Velocity® technology platform to support high bandwidth connectivity for both Ka and Ku band HTS (High Throughput Satellite) networks. Working closely in partnership with iDirect®, the FTS(Feitian) CWSU is fully ARINC 791 compliant, features global bandwidth management, automatic beam selection, powerful remote management software (OpenAMIP) and performance optimization to generate highest bandwidth for the data-hungry demands of passengers and crew.
