FTS AND LENOVO NEW VISION ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC ALLIANCE TO BRING AR AND VR TECHNOLOGIES TO INFLIGHT

Hamburg, Germany – April 10, 2018 – Today at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2018, FTS Technologies Inc and Lenovo New Vision, a subsidiary of Lenovo focused on VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) technologies, announced a strategic collaboration to jointly develop innovative VR and AR offerings for the aviation market.

The companies will work together to create a fully-integrated platform that integrates and connects the Cloud backend with VR and AR enabling devices, onboard Wireless Network, and broadband Air to Ground and Satellite Connectivity systems.  The initial focus will be on passenger inflight applications such as fully immersive cinematic experience, games, virtual travel, online shopping, advertising and social networking.  Further out on  the horizon, the alliance looks to further extend the applications to cover airline operations such as crew training, maintenance, customer service, cross-boundary team collaborations etc.
